RESBOUND: Responsible and Sustainable Palm Oil in Indonesia

This project seeks to improve the lives of smallholder farmers and workers of large palm oil plantations by formulating a Community and Corporate Social Responsibility (CCSR) guideline.

Summary:

This project seeks to improve the lives of smallholder farmers and workers of large palm oil plantations by formulating a Community and Corporate Social Responsibility (CCSR) guideline. With the financial support of the EU’s European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR), the project aims to protect the rights of farmers, increase the capacity of village communities, promote sustainable palm oil to consumers, and strengthen the dialogue between workers, government, and palm oil companies. Additionally, the programme also places a special emphasis on women’s empowerment and child protection in the palm oil industry.
