The Prague municipal government has identified the establishment of an effective resource-recycling system as a key policy issue, and the visit provided an opportunity for the visitors to discuss technical and institutional measures to promote waste reduction, circular economy and lifestyle transformation with Kyoto experts. They also took part in site visits to facilities in Kyoto that engage in educational activities to raise environmental awareness such as the Miyako Ecology Center and Sustaina Kyoto as well as to locations operated by private companies.
