Erasmus+ 2021-2027: more people to experience learning exchanges in Europe
What is Erasmus+?
Erasmus+ is an EU programme supporting opportunities for education, training and sport for young people in Europe. It started as a student exchange programme in 1987, but since 2014 it also offers opportunities for teachers, trainees and volunteers of all ages.
Erasmus+ is one of many EU initiatives to create opportunities for young people from within and outside the EU, and increase their employability.
Between 2014 and 2018, a total of 153 Kenyan students were awarded Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters’ Degrees Scholarships covering tuition, travel and a living allowance.
We hope that the number of Kenyan students will grow exponentially and more Kenyan students will take advantage of new opportunities under the Erasmus 2021 -2027.
