European Union fully funded scholarships now open for Kenyan students

Erasmus+ is the European Union's Programme to support projects, partnerships, events and mobility in the areas of education, training, youth and sport. It provides funding opportunities for cooperation in all these areas, among European countries, as well as between European countries and Partner Countries throughout the world. Since its launch in 1987, Erasmus and its successor programmes have given 10 million people the chance to study, train, volunteer or gain professional experience abroad. The Erasmus+ programme also provides opportunities for study periods abroad, traineeships, apprenticeships, and staff exchanges. Kenyan institutions of higher learning who would like to partner are encouraged to apply through the link: https://erasmus-plus.ec.europa.eu/programme-guide/introduction
Ambassador Geiger noted: ‘‘The Erasmus + scholarship is one of the ways the European Union encourages ‘people to people’ cooperation. These are fully funded scholarships which include incidentals like travel allowances and a monthly stipend. This programme opens the doors to Europe for Kenyans, as it involves study in at least two European countries. We have had positive testimonials from students who have participated in the programme, and we would really like more Kenyans to experience the programme.”
Part of the Erasmus + programmes is the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree, which is a prestigious, integrated, international study programme, jointly delivered by an international consortium of European higher education institutions. Students from all over the world with a Bachelor Degree can apply. The 2021 call for applications is now live at the link https://www.eacea.ec.europa.eu/scholarships/emjmd-catalogue_en
