Farewell reception for Team Europe Ambassadors

The European Union Delegation to Kenya was the venue of a farewell reception in honour of departing Ambassadors of EU Member States and the EU Ambassador, marking the successful conclusion of their tenure in Kenya.

The reception was co-hosted by H.E Dr Christian Fellner (Austria), H.E Mr Peter Maddens, (Belgium), H.E. Mr Savvas Vladimirou (Cyprus), H.E Mr Arnaud Suquet (France) and H.E Mrs Henriette Geiger (EU).

H.E Caitríona Ingoldsby, Ambassador of Ireland to Kenya and Somalia and representing the Presidency of the Council of the EU, thanked all the departing Ambassadors for their valuable contribution to EU-Kenya relations. She noted that all the Ambassadors had contributed immensely to the Team Europe collective efforts.

Chief guest at the event, Kenya's Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr Korir Sing'Oei noted: 

"The European Union remains one of Kenya’s closest and most trusted strategic partners, with our relationship continuing to grow through deeper political engagement, expanding trade and investment, and the successful implementation of the Kenya–EU Economic Partnership Agreement. Together, we are advancing a partnership that delivers tangible opportunities and shared prosperity for our peoples. You have served with distinction, helping elevate our bilateral relations through dialogue, trust and genuine friendship. You  commitment to strengthening Kenya–EU cooperation has left an enduring mark on our shared agenda.”

We extend our best wishes to all the departing Ambassadors the best as they begin their next chapters.
