The EU Delegation to Kenya is happy to welcome the Ambassador - designate of the European Union to Kenya.
Ambassador Andreas Peschke arrived in Nairobi on Wednesday 26th August. He would be honoured to present his credentials to President William Ruto soon.
Ambassador Peschke is returning to Nairobi a decade later, having served as the German Ambassador to Kenya, Somalia and Seychelles resident in Nairobi. He studied African Studies and linguistics, and is a fluent speaker of Kiswahili, among other African languages.
With the arrival of Ambassador Peschke, the EU is looking forward to taking the EU-Kenya relations to the next level, as we celebrate half a century of diplomatic relations in 2026.
