Through European Union funding, a researcher at Strathmore University has developed Sunsafe, a smartphone app that guides informal technicians in designing compatible systems.
The Skills Initiative for Africa (SIFA), implemented by the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD) with support from the European Union and the German Government (KfW), is a continental programme designed to strengthen skills development systems and improve youth employability across Africa.
In Kenya, over 1.8 million smallholder farmers produce more than 80% of the country’s milk, yet productivity remains low due to high feed costs, poor forage systems, and weak links between research and farmers.
