EU Ambassador Anne Koistinen presents her credentials to His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait

European Union Ambassador to the State of Kuwait Anne Koistinen presented her credentials to His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait, in a ceremony that took place at the Bayan Palace in Kuwait City on 15 November 2023.

European Union Ambassador to the State of Kuwait Anne Koistinen presented her credentials to His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait, in a ceremony that took place at the Bayan Palace in Kuwait City on 15 November 2023.

Following the ceremony, Ambassador Koistinen expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome received in the country, and emphasized the historic ties between Kuwait and the European Union, highlighting the fruitful collaboration that has evolved since the opening of the EU Delegation in 2019.

Acknowledging Kuwait as a close and reliable partner for the European UnionAmbassador Koistinen outlined her mission to further enhance bilateral relations across various sectors, including political cooperation, trade and investment, energy, climate change, economic diversification, education, health, research, and innovation. Ambassador Koistinen said that

the fact that the EU and Kuwait share goals of global security and stability in the region forms a solid foundation for strengthened collaboration between the European Union and Kuwait.

Ambassador Koistinen underlined the potential for increased cooperation, especially in the context of the EU’s Joint Communication for a Strategic Partnership with the Gulf.
