EU Ambassador joins hands with Kuwaiti people to clean up iconic beach

During the event, Ambassador Koistinen said to the local media: “I came here today as I believe that all of us can make a difference with our environmental behavior. It is our responsibility to keep the beautiful sea and beaches of Kuwait clean so future generations can also enjoy them. The European Union is ready to boost cooperation with the Kuwaiti government and  people to advance sustainability and build a cleaner, greener future and a more sustainable and just planet for all of us.”

 Sustainability is one of the core priorities of the European Union. To support this, the European Union has established an ambitious agenda to transform EU economy into a circular one, and to support European industry during the transition to a climate-neutral economy.
