In close cooperation with several Kuwaiti counterparts and in coordination with EU Member State Embassies, the EU Delegation marked Europe Month with a dynamic calendar of “Team Europe” events. From 4 May to 3 June, the EU Delegation led the coordination of nineteen Europe Month activities, which included two landmark EU Delegation events, namely the Europe Day celebration and the 1st EU-Kuwait Culture Forum, three EU Delegation-led thematic events, a high-level visit by EU Special Representative for the Gulf region Luigi Di Maio, two school visits by EU Ambassador Anne Koistinen, two media engagements by the Ambassador, the EU’s participation in two high-level local and regional events, and seven events organized by the EU Member State Embassies. These activities amplified the EU’s partnership with Kuwait across political, economic, cultural, environmental, legal and human rights spheres.

This year is significant for EU-Kuwait relations, as the Gulf country is set to host the 29th EU-GCC Ministerial Council and 9th EU-GCC Business Forum.
