The Kuwait College of Science and Technology signed a Memorandum of Understanding with InnoEnergy Masters Plus during an official ceremony held on campus. The agreement marks an important step forward in strengthening academic cooperation between Kuwait and the European Union, particularly in the fields of sustainable energy and advanced technology.
Her Excellency Anne Koistinen, the European Union Ambassador to Kuwait, attended the ceremony and delivered remarks highlighting the importance of the partnership. She described the agreement as a meaningful investment in Kuwait’s future energy landscape, noting that sustainable energy is beneficial for both the planet and the economy. Ambassador Koistinen stressed that the program will help equip students with essential skills to support the energy transition and will offer them valuable academic experience in different EU countries.
The Ambassador encouraged students to explore Horizon Europe, the EU’s flagship research and innovation program, which supports scientific advancement and international cooperation. She also noted that the signing of the MoU comes at a time when the EU and Kuwait are preparing to celebrate the fortieth anniversary of their diplomatic relations, reflecting a long-standing partnership built on dialogue, innovation and shared interests.
The new agreement will allow KCST students to pursue advanced studies at leading European institutions, benefit from diverse research environments and engage with global perspectives on sustainable development. The initiative reflects the commitment of both KCST and the European Union to promote educational excellence and support the next generation of professionals in the clean energy sector.
