Nominations now open for Chaillot Prize 2026 edition

Celebrating those championing human rights across the GCC, and recognising outstanding efforts to raise awareness and protect the rights of vulnerable groups, the 17th edition of the Chaillot Prize is now open for applications. Apply by 23 November 2026!

The European Union Delegation to Saudi Arabia Oman and Bahrain; the EU Delegation to the UAE, the EU Delegation to Kuwait and the EU Delegation to Qatar announce the launch of the 17th Edition of the Chaillot Prize for the Promotion of Human Rights in the GCC Region.

The Prize honours local civil society organisations, public or private institutions, as well as individuals for their efforts in promoting general awareness of human rights and the rights of vulnerable groups in the GCC region.

The deadline for submitting applications for this year's edition is 23 November 2026
