At the initiative of the Hungarian Embassy in Kuwait and as part of Europe Month activities in Kuwait, EU Ambassador Anne Koistinen was honoured to be the chief guest at the Conductive Education School’s ASDAN award ceremony for students with differential ability. Her speech can be found below:

"Dear principal, distinguished guests, faculty, students, and families, Good morning, 

It is an honour to join you today at the Conductive Education School of Kuwait to celebrate the remarkable achievements of 167 students receiving their ASDAN awards.

Congratulations to each one of you for your hard work, resilience, and dedication in earning this recognition. Your accomplishments today are a testament to your determination and the unwavering support of your teachers, families, and community.

The European Union believes deeply in building inclusive societies where everyone, regardless of ability, background, or identity, is embraced and valued.  At the heart of the EU’s vision is a commitment to empowering young people with the skills they need to thrive.

The EU Delegation is proud to engage with the Kuwaiti government as well as with schools, and academic institutions across Kuwait, and find ways to build a brighter and more inclusive future for our younger generations, both in Kuwait and in Europe.

We are inspired by the Conductive Education School’s mission and look forward to deepening our collaboration with the Kuwaiti society and support initiatives aiming to ensure that every young person has the tools to thrive and contribute to a diverse, equitable world.
