Introductory message by the EU Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Rémi Duflot

Hello!

My name is Rémi Duflot and I am the Ambassador od the European Union to your beautiful and snowy country. It is a great honor for me to serve in Kyrgyzstan— a land of magnificent nature, rich traditions, welcoming and hospitable people.

Over many years we the European Union and Kyrgyzstan and its people have built a strong and trusful partnership. Today, our cooperation is broader and more dynamic than ever. It has huge potential. With you we pursue the same goals: to make development sustainable, to protect the environment, to strengthen the rule of law and human rights, and to create opportunities for all across the country, particularly for young people.

During my mandate, I look forward to taking our relationship even further. Because reality matters, I will listen to people from all corners of Kyrgyzstan — students, entrepreneurs, civil society activists, journalists, cultural feagures, and local communities. Your ideas and priorities can shape our work.

The EU will continue to help accelerate Kyrgyzstan’s green transition, digital transformation, and economic resilience. And we will keep strengthening links between our people — through culture, student exchanges, joint research and open dialogue.
