The President of the European Council Charles Michel will visit Kyrgyzstan on 2-3 June

President Michel will visit Cholpon Ata, Issyk-Kul to co-chair the second Summit "European Union - Central Asia", together with the host of the summit - President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov.

President Michel will visit Cholpon Ata, Issyk-Kul to co-chair the second Summit "European Union - Central Asia", together with the host of the summit - President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov.

The Summit "European Union - Central Asia" will gather leaders of Central Asian countries and the EU to discuss prospects of regional cooperation between Central Asia and the EU as well as regional and international developments.

The Summit will be attended by President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Nurmukhammet Amannepesov.

During this visit, President Michel will also hold bilateral meetings with the leaders of Central Asian countries. He will have a separate bilateral visit programme in Kyrgyzstan on 3 June that will include meeting with the President Sadyr Japarov. The sides will discuss the state of play and prospects of bilateral relations.
