SUU/WATER - exhibition

For residents of major cities, indoor plumbing and central water supply are an unnoticed everyday norm. However, in Tokmok, Kyzyl-Kiya, Uzgen, and Balykchy, the situation remained different for a long time. The daily lives of thousands of families, as well as the operation of administrative institutions, depended on outdoor water pumps and outhouses for years. At the same time, the regional culture has always maintained a special, reverent attitude toward water—ranging from visiting holy springs to strictly accounting for every single liter.
