The European Union is committed to helping Lebanon in its fight against terrorism and serious cross-border crimes by strengthening the resilience of its security institutions and increasing the effectiveness of their action.

To this end, it provides relevant Lebanese agencies with the support needed in effectively and comprehensively managing the country’s borders, especially amidst the immediate and medium term threats stemming from the regional crises.

It also seeks to help them manage any additional influx of refugees or any other border related issues, by improving Lebanon’s capacities to deal with borders through Integrated Border Management (IBM).
