GREEN APPLIED RESEARCH & INNOVATIONS SUPPORT PROGRAM

Berytech, in the context of the EU-funded Green Impact MED Project (GIMED), has launched the Green Applied Research & Innovations Support Program to help green entrepreneurs working on green research and innovation projects.

Throughout the 10-month program, Berytech will build the capacities of selected researchers and innovators. Berytech will also offer them the needed access to financing and networking opportunities to bring their innovation to the Mediterranean markets, contribute to a greener economy, and secure more jobs, especially for women and youths.

The selected green researchers and innovators will benefit from: 

  • Business support: Access to business support tailored to the needs of green ventures
  • Financing opportunities: Access to grants and funding opportunities 
  • International business meetings: Access to international and regional B2B meetings and trade deals  
  • Green network: Access to the GIMED’s Mediterranean network of green partners and investors
  • Berytech network: Access to Berytech’s network of entrepreneurs, professionals, media, funding companies and international partners 
  • Switchmed: Access to The Switchers National Partnership services offered at Lebanese and regional levels

Selection criteria

  • The Green applied research projects or innovations should offer products, processes or technologies leading to environmental improvements and sustainability such as energy-saving, pollution-prevention, waste recycling, green product designs, or corporate environmental management and more.
     
  • The technology-based research or innovation in the Green sector should:
    • Be close to market with intellectual protection potential.
    • Have an existing prototype that is locally developed with the potential of scalability, combining innovation, technology and economic viability.
       
  • The Founding team of experts must be committed to implementing the project as an independent venture and should have a minimum of two (2) preferably young and women members per team.
