European Film Festival 2025

The European Union Film Festival (EUFF 2025) is making a vibrant return for its second binational edition in Lesotho and Eswatini.
This year's festival will run in Lesotho from 15 October to 10 November 2025, presenting audiences with a diverse programme of 18 European and African films. For the first time, the festival is dramatically expanding its reach by touring all 10 districts of Lesotho, bringing cinema closer to both urban and rural communities.
The festival is funded by the European Union, with complementary contributions from seven EU Member States, namely by Austria, Cyprus, France, Germany, Italy, Poland and Spain, and the Embassy of Switzerland. Screenings will be held at key locations including Alliance Française, the National University of Lesotho (NUL), The Hub in Morija, and Café What? in Maseru. The EUFF is more than just a showcase, it is a dynamic celebration of cinema that fosters cultural exchange, understanding, and friendship between Europe and Southern Africa.
