Lesotho National Assembly elections well run despite financial shortcomings, legal uncertainty and uneven playing field for contestants

The European Union Election Observation Mission (EU EOM) to Lesotho held a press conference on 9 October 2022 where Chief Observer Ignazio Corrao, a Member of the European Parliament from Italy, presented the Mission's Preliminary Findings [PDF]. Head of the European Parliament Delegation from Spain, Leopoldo López Gil, gave his remarks on the election process in the Mountain Kingdom.
