Outcome Statement - 10th SADC Multi-Stakeholder Dialogue on Water, Energy, and Food Security (WEF)

The 10th SADC Multi-Stakeholder Dialogue on WEF was held in Maseru, Kingdom of Lesotho, on 5–7 September 2022. The Dialogue was attended by a total 180 participants comprising of representatives of thirteen SADC Member States drawn from the water, energy and food security sectors, youth and gender representation, River Basin Organisations (RBOs), SADC regional Implementing Agencies and partners from the Energy, Water and Food sectors, and International Cooperating Partners (ICPs). The overall objective of the Dialogue was to identify strategies that will bolster the productive capacities for water, food and energy security in the region whilst ensuring environmental security. Main funders of the 10th Multi-Stakeholder Dialogue included the European Union, and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). Other funding partners included Orange-Senqu River Commission and SADC Water Fund.
