In line with Malawi 2063, the MIP has the broad purpose of supporting a green and resilient economic transformation, in view of creating decent jobs, based on sound democratic and economic governance systems and on empowered human capital. This three-pronged overall objective, rolled out in the context of the COVID-
19 pandemic and its aftermath, responds to the need for a strong economic recovery in an inclusive and sustainable way, reducing inequality.
