EU YOUTH SOUNDING BOARD IN NIGERIA
The mandate of the board is to advise the EU Delegation in Nigeria on Youth Participation and Empowerment, and on a broad range of topics such as Employment, Education, Training and Entrepreneurship, Environment and Climate Change, Human Rights and Democracy, Peace and Security, Digitalisation and Technology, Gender, Social Inclusion and Health, as well as Culture, Arts, Media and Journalism.
YSB creates opportunities for young people and youth organisations to express their views, connect and exchange.
Also, the Board actively influences the policy and programmes of the EU in Nigeria, and will thereby contribute to make EU action more participatory, relevant and effective for young people in Nigeria.

Abimbola Abikoye
YSB Sub-Committee: Green and Digital Economy

Abimbola Abikoye is an environmental research consultant and Ocean advocate driving climate and environmental change innovation. Through her Revamp Rave Network, she has trained 1000 youths on climate change and action, built a tutor bank of 66 expert tutors across six continents, authored Ecolog and provided 25 scholarship opportunities for young climate advocates across the globe. Abimbola is a member of UNESCO-Early Career Ocean Professional and the current chairperson of the EU-YSB’s GDE committee.
Funmilayo Oyekanmi
YSB Sub-Committee: Human Development

Funmilayo Oyekanmi is a law graduate and an award-winning development advocate. She possesses experience working with early-stage tech-enabled African start-ups. She also has experience working on social impact projects that advance good health, social and cultural well-being. She is the Founder and Executive Director of Human and Social Sustainability Network (HSSN) Africa, a youth-led non-profit organisation committed to addressing the global challenge of poverty through strategic initiatives.
Abba Ali Yarima Mustapha
YSB Sub-Committee: Governance, Peace, and Migration

Abba Ali Yarima Mustapha is a highly motivated young peacebuilder currently working on security, youth engagement, dialogue support and peace building programming in the Lake Chad region. His Special focus is on the DDRRR (Demobilization, Deradicalization, Rehabilitation and Reintegration) programme and reducing the recruitment of children and young people into violent extremist groups in the North-Eastern part of Nigeria
Atabo David

Atabo David is a marketing, brand communication, and community engagement expert. He is the founder of Comemakewego Africa, a non-profit organisation that works to develop local communities in Africa that have the potential to become popular tourist destinations. He holds a chieftains title as the 'Aare Afe' of Ado-Awaye, Oyo state Nigeria, for his contributions to the community's tourism development, in addition to his numerous awards and recognitions in the community development space, such as Youth Tourism Ambassador.
Babajide Oluwase

Babajide Oluwase is an award-winning urban management professional, environmental sustainability advocate and the founder of Ecotutu, a leading cleantech company providing multichannel solar-powered cold storage solutions to businesses, particularly in the agriculture and health value chain. Since 2015, he has demonstrated extensive and relevant experience in creating environmental-focused solutions and has a track record of working with relevant stakeholders to establish cost-saving initiatives for corporate organisations and government MDAs.
Ebuka Alumona
YSB Sub-Committee: Human Development

Ebuka Alumona is a dynamic young professional with over four years of experience in sustainable development focusing on project design, implementation as well as monitoring and evaluation. He is actively contributing to projects aligned with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. A member of the Abuja Global Shapers Community, Ebuka serves as the Board Chairperson of the EU Youth Sounding Board (YSB) in Nigeria, showcasing his commitment to social impact and youth leadership.
Ehioba Wilfred Osayomwanbor
YSB Sub-Committee: Governance, Peace and Migration

Ehioba Wilfred Osayomwanbor is an energy and political analyst. He recently concluded his master’s degree program in Politics at the University of Lincoln. A member of the International Association for Energy Economies. Ehioba has a sound background in global politics, energy policies, global supply chain, and data science. In 2021, he was part of the delegation from Nigeria to participate in the New Africa France Summit in Montpellier.
Ismail Bello

Ismail Bello has over six years of experience in community development, youth development, and civic leadership. He specialises in creating intervention training programmes and policy discussion projects that promote good governance, civic engagement, and youth political leadership. While at YIAGA Africa, Ismail contributed to the development of a policy framework for youth inclusion in governance processes and public offices.
Iswat Badmus
YSB Sub-Committee: Human Development

Iswat Badmus is a Youth Development Professional with five years of experience in the profit and non-profit sectors. She holds M.Sc in Human Anatomy and a Professional Development Certificate in Project Management in Global Health from the University of Washington, United States of America. Iswat worked at the National Assembly in Nigeria, where she gained experience on how Bills and Motions are drafted and policies developed.
Mubarak Idris
YSB Sub-Committee: Human Development

Mubarak is a digital development advocate with over 4 years of experience using digital media as a tool to promote issues around population, health, and environment in Africa.
He is passionate about ending child marriage and promoting girl-child education through social and behavioral change communication. Mubarak holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin. He is an inaugural fellow of the Community Engagement Exchange (CEE) programme.
Nehemiah Danjuma

Nehemiah is an Alumnus of the U.S. Department of State Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study Program (YES Program) and has over 6 years of experience in community-based project development and implementation, and disability awareness/advocacy. He was a 2022-23 Law Fellow at the Coelho Center for Disability Law, Policy and Innovation at Loyola Law School, Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles.
Precious Solumtochukwu Ozobulu
YSB Sub-Committee: Governance, Peace, and Migration

Precious Solumtochukwu Ozobulu is a Human Rights lawyer with 5 years progressive work experience in the advocacy and defence of the rights of vulnerable groups (Women, Girls, Children, sexual minorities, PWDs) in Nigeria. In 2021, her contributions as a Human Rights Defender was recognised by the European Parliament and she was selected to join the prestigious Sakharov Fellowship for Human Rights Defenders.
Rafiat Atanda
YSB Sub-Committee: Communication and Public Relations

Rafiat Atanda is a communications practitioner, award-winning social impact maker, global citizen, public speaker and international volunteer. She won the US Consul General’s Award for 2021/2022 Carrington Youth Fellow. Rafiat is passionate about using media, communication and advocacy as veritable tools in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. She currently works as an Awareness Raising Campaign Specialist with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crimes
Rasheed Aliu

Rasheed Aliu is a Climate Change Expert trained and certified by Climate School of Oxford, Oxford University. He is an Electrical/ Electronic Engineering graduate from Yaba College of Technology and received business executive training from Lagos Business School. His experience spans 9 years in diplomacy, climate-change and energy research and entrepreneurship. Rasheed champions ArleeGreen which is seeded by Orange Corners Nigeria; an initiative of the kingdom of Netherlands.
Segun Ogunwale
YSB Sub-Committee: Green and Digital Economy

Segun Ogunwale is an Information Technology professional by training—with interests in the development of digital solutions for human capacity development. He currently serves as the Team Lead of Bridgia which he co-founded to champion employability, innovation, and development of talent pipelines in Africa’s higher institutions. Segun is a strong believer in Africa’s potential to become a significant player in the global knowledge economy and a talent powerhouse for the future world of work.
Stephen Adavize Onimisi
YSB Sub-Committee: Governance, Peace, and Migration

Stephen Adavize Onimisi is a lawyer focused on youth, gender rights, humanitarian law and human rights advocacy. An alumnus of Youth Development and Leadership Foundation (YLDF) and a participant in the 2020 Cohort of the Policy and Legal Advocacy Centre’s Legislative Internship Programme. As a legal practitioner, he continues to advocate and promote respect for socio-cultural rights and the environment through his work with non-governmental organisations like the GRAPE Initiative for Development and Center for Earth Works.
Sumayyah Ajani
YSB Sub-Committee: Green and Digital Economy

Sumayyah is a Climate Justice Advocate with special focus on Climate Education, Environmental Sustainability and Policy Adaptation. Her work experience spans across Advisory and Policy formulation, education for SDGs, advocacy for the inclusion of climate education in secondary school syllabuses, plastic pollution, ocean preservation and sustainability, upcycling, amongst others. She works closely with Youths, organises campaigns and training, and drives conversations on climate resilience and adaptation.
Uzoamaka Chukwuemeka
YSB Sub-Committee: Human Development

Uzoamaka Chukwuemeka is a Research Assistant with Holistique Public Health and a Project Assistant with JTF Foundation, an organisation creating awareness on the importance of good menstrual health and hygiene in Nigeria. Uzoamaka has successfully carried out health projects and advocacy campaigns on prevention and control of communicable and non-communicable diseases such as HPV, malaria, tuberculosis, HIV and hepatitis. Also, she enlightens teenage girls on the importance of good menstrual health and hygiene.
Oyindamola Osinubi

Oyindamola Osinubi is a social entrepreneur passionate about empowering African youths with the knowledge and tools to leverage the internet for self-education, entrepreneurship, employment, environmental sustainability, and social development through her initiative, DigiShapersAfrica, and has trained over 2000 youths in this regard. She holds an Executive Mini MBA in Entrepreneurship and Business Management from FATE Foundation and Road to Growth, Cherie Blair Foundation for Women.
Precious Uchechi Eze

Precious Uchechi Eze is a lawyer with keen interest in Public International Law. She has gathered 3 years’ progressive work experience in the public and private sector in organisations like the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, the Federal Ministry of Justice, Oando and the Pan African Young Diplomat Forum. Keen on utilising International Law as a tool for global development, she now undertakes an Erasmus Mundus Masters in “International Law of Global Security, Peace and Development”.
Somtochukwu Ugwu

Somtochukwu Nnamdi Ugwu is a lawyer from Enugu State, Nigeria. Somtochukwu is passionate about promoting youth and women empowerment in Nigeria and globally. He currently serves as a Program Officer with Society for the Improvement of Rural People (SIRP), an NGO based in Enugu State, Nigeria. He is also the Communication’s Officer of Men Engage Nigeria, a coalition of women’s rights organisations committed to increasing men and boys’ involvement in promoting issues concerning gender equality and women empowerment.
Adekunbi Ogunsuyi

Adekunbi Ogunsuyi is a luminary at the crossroads of poetry and spoken word artistry, design innovation, and community impact. A slam poetry champion acclaimed in the resonant realms of Jos, Abuja, Bauchi and Lagos, and performance records in several states across Nigeria including the Lagos International Poetry Festival. Adekunbi Ogunsuyi transcends the stage with a dynamic identity. Adekunbi brings a nuanced understanding of global narratives to their poetic cadence. Beyond academia, she serves as a valuable contributor at TEFY Corp innovative landscape, with technical prowess in Product Design (UI/UX) and Technical writing
Taoheed Adegbite

Taoheed A. Adegbite is a gender justice, peace advocate and a journalist. He currently works as a Deputy News Editor for the digital title of the Nigerian Tribune — the oldest newspaper organisation in Nigeria. Taoheed is the publisher and founder of TrackGBV Nigeria — a recently founded initiative that focuses on exclusive tracking and reporting of cases of violence and advocacy on conflict resolutions in Nigeria.
