Donation of surplus office furniture – call for expressions of interest

The European Union Delegation to Norway intends to donate a number of surplus office furniture items following its move to new premises. The indicative list of furniture is attached to this notice. The furniture is expected to be available for collection in December 2026.

Who may express interest?

Expressions of interest are invited from charities and humanitarian organisations. Applicants must provide appropriate evidence of their charitable or humanitarian status.

Conditions of the donation

  1. The furniture is offered as one single lot. The selected recipient must take all items included in the final approved list; individual items cannot be selected.
  2. The selected recipient must organise and pay for collection, loading, transport and all other costs connected with removal.
  3. The complete lot must be collected during the period specified by the Delegation after its move to the new premises.
  4. The donation is subject to completion of the Delegation’s internal approval procedure and signature of a written agreement. This notice does not create a right to receive the furniture or a binding commitment by the Delegation.

How to express interest

Interested organisations should submit:

  1. the organisation’s full name, registration details and contact person;
  2. evidence that it is a charity or humanitarian organisation;
  3. a short explanation of the intended charitable or humanitarian use of the furniture;
  4. confirmation that it accepts the entire lot and all collection and removal costs; and
  5. confirmation that it can collect the complete lot within the period specified by the Delegation.

Expressions of interest must be sent to DELEGATION-NORWAY-PROCUREMENT@eeas.europa.eu by 15 October (AOB).

Selection of the recipient

The Delegation will first verify whether each expression of interest was submitted on time and meets all the conditions stated in this notice. If only one admissible expression of interest is received, that organisation may be proposed as recipient. If several admissible expressions of interest are received, the proposed recipient will be identified by a documented random draw among the admissible applicants. The final donation remains subject to the Delegation’s internal decision and the signature of a written agreement.
