Training session takes placed in Khuzdar under EU funded Growth for Rural Advancement and Sustainable Progress Project
An EU mission visited Khuzdar district of Balochistan during 25-26 November 2021. Among others, one purpose of the visit was to participate in the one day training on, “Good Agriculture Practices (GAP) ” organised for framers of the district Khuzdar area. The training event was arranged under the EU funded Project, “Growth for Rural Advancement and Sustainable Progress (GRASP)”.
The training will develop human resource of Khuzdar district of Balochistan by providing farmers and entrepreneurs with the necessary understanding and skills to comply with Good Agricultural Practices and Sanitary & Phytosanitary Standards for economic development. The participants also included 7 women, actively engaged in the agriculture and enterprise activities. Sideline meetings were held with the Olive farmers and livestock breeders.
Mr. Ovidiu Mic, Head of the Cooperation, EU Delegation to Pakistan, distributed the certificate in a graceful ceremony. The Deputy Commissioner Mr. Bashir Ahmad Bareech and Director Agriculture Mr. Bashir Ahmad, of District Khuzdar were also present on the occasion. Ceremonially shields were also presented to the dignitaries. The trainees appreciated the training and asked for more session of it.
