Support to National (local) CSOs, Democracy Activists and HRDs working on Critical Human Rights and Democracy Issues in Partner Countries

An information session is tentatively scheduled for Friday 26 November 2021 at 10am via zoom

The European Union Delegation to PNG has recently published a Call under its NDICI Human Rights Programme to support national (local) civil society organisations, democracy activists and human rights defenders on critical human rights and democracy issues in Papua New Guinea. The global objective of this call is to improve gender equality through strengthened women empowerment, leadership, participation and voice.

The specific objectives of this call for proposals are:

  1. Increased election awareness, education and participation of women
  2. Increased women leadership as well as economic, legal and political empowerment
  3. Increased voice and capacities of women’s organizations
  4. Increased capacities of women’s organizations to promote peaceful conflict resolution
  5. Improved gender balance in the political decision making

The overall indicative amount made available under this call for proposals is EUR 650.000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the following minimum and maximum amounts:

  • minimum amount: EUR 300.000
  • maximum amount: EUR 325.000
