Consular Protection for EU/ Schengen citizens in the Philippines

Nationals of the European Union (EU) and Schengen Member States in need of consular assistance in the Philippines should contact the Embassies/ Consulates of their respective countries.

The emergency contacts in EU/ Schengen Embassies in Manila are listed below.

EU citizens are entitled to seek help from the embassy or consulate of any other EU Member State if they find themselves in a situation where they need assistance outside the EU, with no embassy or consulate from their own Member State effectively in position to help them. In the Philippines, 13 EU Member States do not have a resident Embassy. 

EU and Schengen Member States cooperate closely locally on consular protection matters through constant exchange of information, crisis preparedness and collective action when needed in case of consular crisis such as natural disasters. The EU Delegation assists actively this cooperation.
