Over-all, to contribute to successful normalization process by helping sustain a peaceful environment conducive to the implementation of camps transformation. Specifically, this will be achieved by strengthening inclusion and participation, improving communications, and building resilience against violent conflict in the camp communities

Main target groups

Communities in the 6 MILF acknowledged camps; peace process mechanisms and key government agencies involved in the implementation of the normalization process with focus on camps transformation

Main activities (simplified – for publication)

Design and implement platforms for participatory dialogue and consensus-building on matters concerning the implementation of the camps transformation plan; Design and implement communication strategies to better inform communities in the camps about normalization and the camps transformation process; Strengthen and support initiatives for preventing, resolving and mitigating against violent local conflict including rido

Sustainability of the Project

Develop institutional capacities for target groups so that activities and results can be sustained; work closely with government and the peace process mechanisms so that project activities are in line with their goals; minimize environmental impact of actions
