European Union Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Risk Mitigation Centres of Excellence Initiative

During the first event, the 25 participants from the Bureau of Customs, Economic Zone Authority and Strategic Trade Management Office got an overall insight into the Strategic trade control Enforcement, with an emphasis on definitions and importance of strategic goods, international frameworks, national strategic trade systems, control list and commodity identification.
During the second event, the participants discussed international good practices in relation to the assessment, profiling and targeting of shipments in the context of dual-use goods trade controls. In addition, the Czech and Dutch risk management systems were presented by EU P2P experts, as testimonies of these practices. Experts have revived and increased discussion with the inclusion of past cases and exercises which allow open discussion.
As a result, the participants got the chance to discuss their national experiences and to exchange practices concerning the control process and deepen their knowledge in this field.
