Fifth round of negotiations for a European Union – Philippines Free Trade Agreement (EU-PH FTA)

The 5th round of negotiations for a European Union – Philippines Free Trade Agreement (EU-PH FTA) took place from 2-6 March in Brussels. Significant progress was achieved across a broad range of areas covered by the envisioned agreement.

The European Union and the Philippines reaffirmed their shared ambition to conclude a comprehensive and ambitious agreement that strengthens economic ties and supports resilient and sustainable growth. The FTA aims to deliver meaningful mutual market access and improve trade conditions for businesses and consumers alike for both sides.
