Planning to study in the EU? Attend this year’s most exciting higher education fair opening on 29 September

The Delegation of the European Union to the Philippines together with the European Member States’ Embassies launches the European Higher Education Fair 2023 on September 29th at the East Atrium of Shangri-La Plaza, Mandaluyong.

EHEF 2023 will be held on September 30th and October 1st at the East and Grand Atriums at the Shangri-La Plaza, and online on October 2nd at ehefphilippines.com and @ehefphilippines Facebook page.

The theme of this year’s Fair is “Pathways to Excellence'', highlighting the diverse educational avenues that the European Union can offer to equip Filipino students with the skills, knowledge, mindset and life-changing experiences needed to thrive in a fast-evolving and ever more interconnected global landscape.

EHEF 2023 will be inaugurated by the Chargé d'affaires a.i. of the Delegation of the European Union to the Philippines, Dr. Ana Isabel Sánchez Ruiz and Commission on Higher Education Secretary Prospero de Vera, accompanied by the Ambassadors from the EU Member States’ Embassies: H. E. Juha Pyykko, (Finland) , H.E. Michel Parys (Belgium), H.E. Annika Thunborg, (Sweden),  H.E. William Carlos (Ireland),   Netherlands H.E. Marielle Geraedts (The Netherlands),  Spain H.E. Miguel Utray (Spain),   and Chargé D’Affaires a.i. Mr. Jarosław Szczepankiewicz (Poland).

Deputy Head of Mission Mr. Giovanni Porcu (Embassy of Italy),  Acting Deputy Mr. Alexander Schmidt  (Embassy of Germany),  and First Secretary and Consul Mr. Ján Krivoš (Embassy of The Czech Republic and Madam  Eva Fisher Mellbin, spouse of  Ambassador Franz-Michael Melbin (Royal Danish Embassy Manila), will also launch the Fair.

Students, professionals, academicians, researchers, and universities are invited to join EHEF and engage with some of the top higher education institutions from the 85 higher education institutions and diplomatic missions from Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Spain, France, Italy, Hungary, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Finland, and Sweden.

This year, the Fair is supported by regional hubs Wesleyan University, University of Cordilleras, Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan, university partners Ateneo de Manila University European Studies Programme, De La Salle University Manila, Holy Cross of Davao College, Mabalacat City

Colleges, University of Santo Tomas, University of the Philippines Diliman, Lyceum of the Philippines University - Cavite and Visayas State University.

Aside from meeting some of the institution representatives, those who are interested in learning a new language can also visit the language corners available on-ground as Alliance Francaise de Manille, Goethe Institut, Instituto Cervantes de Manila and Philippine-Italian Association are joining the Fair for the first time.   

On-site seminars  will be hosted by the EU Member States’ Embassies and Cultural Institutes. Questions on higher education systems, “student life” in the EU, research grants, and scholarship opportunities through programmes like Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions, and Jean Monnet will be  discussed during the three-day EHEF 2023.
