Direct inclusion. Festival of participatory art


“Direct inclusion. Festival of participatory” art is a festival of participatory art with educational and art programs: installations, games, performances, and science-art. It is organized in partnership with the EU Delegation to Russia.

The visitors will become active participants and co-create different art works from performance to sculpture. Two days of co-creation and no boundaries between artists and participants. "Direct Inclusion" explores the culture of participation that not only shapes new trajectories of creative realization but also allows achieving social changes.

The educational programme is designed for the professional community. Representatives of NGO´s, art practitioners, educators, museum workers and any creative professionals who are interested in participatory projects are invited to join.

The festival programme includes workshops, lectures, and master classes by European experts:

  • 15 June - Primavera Gomez Caldas will give a training on group thinking. Registration;
  • 17 June - Jasmina Ibragimovic will talk about community art and participatory practices, using the example of the International Community Art Festival. Registration;
  • 18 June - Beata Anna Schmutz will give a lecture on the methods of citizen participation in theatrical projects. Registration;
  • 20 June - Zuckerwattenkrawatten, an animation studio from Berlin, will organize a participatory video art workshop. Registration.

The entrance to the festival is free; you need to register in advance for some events.
