EEAS Deputy Secretary General/Political Director Mora visits Moscow to discuss foreign policy issues with Russian Deputy Foreign Ministers

On 18 January, during his visit to Moscow, the EEAS Deputy Secretary-General (DSG) for Political Affairs/Political Director Enrique Mora held consultations with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko. Exchanges focused on EU-Russia relations, including dialogue on human rights issues, pressing international issues, as well as current conversations on European security.

DSG Mora also held separate meetings with Deputy Foreign Minister Ryabkov, during which they addressed issues related to European security, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPoA) and Venezuela, and with Deputy Foreign Minister Rudenko to discuss the situation in the Eastern neighbourhood and in Central Asia.

These consultations are held within the framework of the EU’s established policy towards Russia.
