On 23 September, from 11:00 to 18:00, an annual Festival “European Day of Languages” will take place in the premises of the Universal University of Creative Industries (10, Nizhnyaya Syromyatnicheskaya St, bld. 4 and 9). The festival is organised by the European Union National Institutes for Culture EUNIC.

Everyone can take part in the festival no matter how well they know any foreign language.

The programme of the festival includes:

  • language classes of 21 European languages for beginners and advanced learners from teachers of the European cultural centres and institutes;
  • speak dating: 5-minute small talks with a native speaker;
  • lectures, master-classes and quizzes;
  • a big quiz from “Europulse”;
  • film screenings in the original language with the Russian subtitles;
  • a book swap of foreign literature;
  • info stands of the European cultural centres and institutes with information about scholarship programmes, language classes and exams.

You must register via the general form to participate in the festival activities.

Please note that you should register separately to take part in the language classes. To register for a lesson in a specific language, click on the flag of the country you are interested in, select the lesson you want and go through the registration form.

We would like to invite everyone to stop by the info stand of “Europulse” to learn more about Europe and take part in prize activities. Guests will be able to take part in a big quiz about Europe and the European languages that will run at the stand through the day.

At 17:00, there will be a quiz-presentation of “Europulse” and a drawing of the main prize of the big quiz (bld. 9, floor 4, room 4-02). The main prize is 2 nights for two people in a hotel in the heart of St Petersburg!
