Lecture by Ivan Golunov in Yekaterinburg

On Saturday, May 22 at 19:00, the Yeltsin Center will host a lecture by journalist Ivan Golunov "How to find the truth in digital media noise?" within the project “The Earth is Flat - How to Read Media?”
A powerful information flow, accelerating and growing, does not give time to think, comprehend and evaluate the content of media messages. Believe everyone or do not trust anyone? Can classic journalism, with its investigative methods, provide support? Are journalistic approaches to find, check and analyze facts out of date? What is considered a fact? How to distinguish a high-quality investigation from a low-quality one? Where to look for the truth and how to avoid distortions? Ivan Golunov will tell you about this. To illustrate his theses and recommendations, Ivan will analyze several recent cases from Ural media.
"The Earth is Flat - How to Read Media?" is a joint project of the Goethe-Institut in Moscow and the COLTA.RU portal, carried out with the support of the European Union.
