Third competition of articles by young Europeanists is open

11.05.2021

The EU Delegation to Russia and the European Dialogue Expert Group with the support of the Heinrich Böll Foundation are organizing the Third International Competition of Analytical Articles “Russia, Europe, World” for young professionals.

This year's competition is dedicated to the theme "Anti-Elite Storm". A political transformation is in the making around the world: politics is becoming more fragmented, the polarization of public opinion is growing globally, traditional parties are losing in popularity and it is becoming increasingly difficult to predict the outcome of elections. Brexit, Greta Tunberg, anti-elite protests, growing voters’ volatility - this is just a small list of events in recent months that give ground for thoughts. The “Russia, Europe, World” competition is a place to express them.

Bachelor, Master and Postgraduate students, as well as young specialists and scientists under the age of 35, are invited to participate and submit an analytical article in the Russian language.

The winner and three laureates will be determined by the jury of Russian and European experts. The laureates will receive special awards from the partners of the competition, and best works will be published on the website of the European Dialogue Group. The winner of the competition will receive a cash prize, and together with the laureates will be able to visit Brussels to get acquainted with the work of the European Union institutions (in case of impossibility of travel, due to existing restrictions, the winners will benefit from specialized online training).

The call for submissions is open until 20 June; the articles should be sent to e-mail eedialog@yandex.ru. Please indicate “Competition 2021” in the subject of the e-mail. Results will be announced on 1 August.
