European Film Festival, Rwanda - 2022
The 2022 European Film Festival is here!
The festival is offering the Rwandan public some of the best and latest European cinema productions. This year, 15 incredible films from across Europe will be screened in Kigali and Rubavu.
The European Film Festival (EUFF) is an annual activity organised by the Delegation of the European Union to Rwanda together with resident and non-resident Embassies of the European Union accredited to Rwanda.
The festival is a public diplomacy activity organised as part of "European Autumn of Culture" in Rwanda. Every year, a wide range of award winning, recent films submitted by Member State Embassies are screened. The EUFF seeks to reiterate Europe and Africa's cultural connections and the films selected present stories that cut across both continents or deal with topics relevant to Europeans and Africans alike.
Most of the films are feature films suitable for general audiences and include genres such as drama, comedy, fiction etc. The EUFF is a public event, therefore entry to all film screenings are free of charge. This year, the opening film is a Dutch film titled “White Berry”.
