The EU will continue to support inclusive, credible, transparent and peaceful electoral processes in Sierra Leone. New activities on electoral support, in line with the recommendations of the 2018 EU Electoral Observation Mission (EOM), will be discussed with electoral stakeholders, on the basis of the EU Multi-annual Indicative Programme (MIP) 2021-2027. Head of the EU Delegation Ambassador Manuel Müller and the Chairperson of the National Election Commission (NEC) Hon. Mohamed Konneh met and discussed future EU support to electoral reforms. The EU will pursue the regular dialogue with all electoral stakeholders and continue to support NEC and other partners in the implementation of the recommendations of the EU 2018 EOM and 2021 Election Follow-up Mission (EFM).
