SEOUL, 1 October 2026 – The Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Korea, through its EU-Korea Green Partnership Programme (GPP), will host the second EU Green Day Festival on Saturday, 17 October 2026, at Moonlight Plaza in Banpo Hangang Park.

Held as part of EU Green Diplomacy Week 2026, the festival builds on last year’s inaugural EU Green Day Festival. The Delegation of the European Union and EU Member States embassies as well as Korean partner organisations will host interactive booths and activities throughout the day, sharing ideas and initiatives on climate action and environmental protection. Together, they will bring the spirit of Team Europe to the heart of Seoul.

Throughout the day, visitors will be able to take part in climate quizzes, make keychains and tea coasters in upcycling workshops, and try traditional Korean games using upcycled materials. A biodiversity exhibition will offer free postcards featuring photographs from the display. There will also be an environment and zero-waste speed quiz.

A festival-wide Stamp Quiz Challenge will give visitors another way to explore the booths, test their environmental knowledge and earn eco-friendly rewards. Working with local organisations, the festival will also feature creative activities led by young people.

Through these experiences, the EU Green Day Festival offers families and visitors of all generations a chance to connect, learn and discover steps they can take towards a more sustainable lifestyle.
