Human Rights Democracy and CSO Support to Sri Lanka and the Maldives

The European Commission is seeking proposals for CSO/HR thematic programmes:

Lot 1: NDICI - Global Europe Human Rights & Democracy Thematic Programme 2025-2027

The global objective of Lot 1 of this call for proposals is to increase protection and promotion of human rights and fundamental freedoms, democracy and the rule of law worldwide. 

The specific objective of Lot 1 of this call for proposals is safeguarding fundamental freedoms, including harnessing the opportunities and addressing challenges of digital and new technologies in the context of Global Gateway on sustainable, green and resilient connectivity.

Lot 2: NDICI - Global Europe Civil Society Thematic Programme 2025-2027

The global objective of Lot 2 of this call for proposals is to strengthen CSOs as independent actors of good governance and development in their own right.

The specific objective of Lot 2 of this call for proposals is to focus primarily on output 4 of above mentioned Action Document “Strengthened capacity of local CSOs to engage in climate action (adaptation and mitigation) including environmental protection and the green transition” while using output 1 “Strengthened capacities of local CSOs to engage in policy dialogue at national level and in dialogue, implementation and analysis of EU and national development plans and programmes as the main modality and angle of intervention”.
