Rehabilitation services for people affected by trauma resulting from conflict or structural violence in the Northern Province of Sri Lanka


Contributing to the restoration of individual, family, and community wellbeing by reducing vulnerabilities as well as residual and ongoing trauma among communities in the Northern Province of Sri Lanka.

The project, implemented by the Family Rehabilitation Centre, aims to:

  1. improve the mental health of 3,000 at-risk community members including those suffering from trauma;
  2. increase and improve the quality of psychosocial services provided to vulnerable communities by both the state and other non-governmental organizations; and
  3. promote and defend the rights of survivors of violence.

The value of the European Union's contribution is 496,475.85
