EU Sanctions Training Workshops conducted in Istanbul (13-14 July)

On 13-14 July, the European Union (EU) organised a training workshop in Türkiye on EU sanctions, with organisational support from the International Science and Technology Center (ISTC) and the Association of Certified Sanctions Specialists (ACSS).

The primary aim of the workshop was to raise awareness of EU sanctions and their application, and to prevent possible circumvention of these measures. The workshop gathered private businesses and industry associations operating in Türkiye.

The training was conducted by a team of EU representatives and experts, and consisted of presentations and Q&A sessions. The workshop was opened by EU Sanctions Envoy David O’Sullivan while he was on a visit to Türkiye.
