Call for Mentors and Jury at the AI / Tech4Good Hackathon in Central Asia
AI / Tech4Good Hackathon in Central Asia will take place in Astana, Kazakhstan, from 26 to 28 November 2025.
The aim is to develop concrete AI-based solutions that enhance access, sharing, and protection of information for low-income and marginalised groups across Central Asia.
We invite you to share the attached Call for Participation (available in English and Russian) with your networks, especially with individuals who may be interested in:
- Joining as a mentor: mentors will guide teams during development sprints, provide feedback during midpoint presentations, and participate in at least one mentoring round (in person or online).
- Media inclusivity and fact-checking expert (training on 26 November)
- Media innovation expert (training on 28 November)
- Serving on the jury (28 November), with expertise in tech innovation (AI, data, UX), journalism and fact-checking, civil society, human rights, or community engagement.

Participating in a team: journalists, fact-checkers, civil-society or human-rights advocates, or community leaders, including from marginalised groups.
Winning teams will be eligible for subgrants to further develop and implement their prototypes.
