Marc Buchmann, the Head of Cooperation of the European Union in Tajikistan, Mahmadyusuf Imomzoda, Minister for Education and Science of Tajikistan and Osama Makkawi, UNICEF Representative attended the opening ceremony of the first Video Lessons Production Studio which equips the Ministry of Education and Science with new educational tools and modern software to develop high quality video-lessons. Modern education includes digital means and distance learning, and this creative studio helps to introduce them.

The project will prepare more than 2000 interactive video lessons for students of 1-11 grades, following a successful pilot project already used by Tajik schoolchildren during the COVID outbreak in 2020.

Digital adaptation and innovation in the education sector are among key priorities of EU-funded Capacity building programme in Tajikistan’s Education Sector implemented by UNICEF.

The overall budget provided by the European Union is 14,5 mln euros.
