The Ready4Trade Central Asia project is taking business in Tajikistan to a whole new level, with easier import and export trade, boosted e-commerce, empowered female entrepreneurship, and much more.

Through this project, the European Union (EU) contributes to the overall sustainable and inclusive economic development of five Central Asian countries, including Tajikistan, by boosting intra-regional and international trade in the region.

The project’s activities also aim to help minimize the negative impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the economies of the Central Asian countries.

The project is implemented by the International Trade Centre (ITC).

Increasing access of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to regional and global markets is crucial for diversifying economic activity and creating jobs, and this is where the Ready4Trade Central Asia project can help.

Ready4Trade is achieving its goals by enhancing the transparency of cross-border requirements, removing regulatory and procedural barriers, strengthening business capabilities in order to comply with trade formalities and standards, as well as by improving cross-border e-commerce. Activities under Ready4Trade are thus organized around two key areas: trade facilitation and e-commerce.

Beneficiaries of the Ready4Trade Central Asia project include governments, SMEs, in particular women-led enterprises, and business support organizations. In addition to Tajikistan, the project also operates in four other Central Asian countries.
