The festival will run from 15 to 25 May 2025, offering 23 selected films curated by the EU Delegation to Thailand and the Embassies of Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden and Ukraine. The lineup spans a variety of genres from drama, thriller, comedy, actions, documentary, and children’s films.
The festival also marks Europe Day, which is celebrated annually on 9 May, reinforcing the EU’s core value of ‘United in Diversity’—the belief that different cultures can coexist, learn from one another, and thrive together in harmony.
In her opening remarks, Ms. Sara Rezoagli, Acting Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Thailand, stated, “The EU Film Festival in Thailand is where we celebrate the rich diversity of European cultures through the universal language of cinema. This festival is not simply a showcase of films, but it is an opportunity to connect, to learn, and to reflect on shared human experiences. By sharing these films with our Thai friends, we reaffirm our commitment to the importance of creating mutual understanding. We hope these films will spark meaningful conversations and foster a deeper appreciation of the connections between the EU and Thailand.”
