Uganda: Call for Proposals under the Thematic Programme on Human Rights and Democracy

The objective of this call for proposals is to contribute to promote and protect human rights and fundamental freedoms, democracy and the rule of law in Uganda.

The European Union Delegation to Uganda is pleased to invite applications for grant financing under this call for proposal. Up to 3.5 million Euro has been made available to support local actions under this call. 

The specific objective(s) of this call for proposals are:

1. Strengthened evidence-based advocacy to safeguard respect for human rights and freedoms in Uganda;

2. Reduction of child labour in Uganda through strengthened civil society action. Proposed actions can target either one, but not both, specific objectives.

This call for proposals is organized into two lots, which align, with the two specific objectives:

Lot I: Monitoring, documentation and advocacy to safeguard respect for human rights and freedoms in Uganda.

Lot II: Prevention and reduction of child labour in Uganda.
