31 жовтня Естонський центр східного партнерства у співпраці з CybExer Technologies та Українським кризовим медіа-центром організовує конференцію, яка стане підсумковою подією проекту «Протидія пов’язаним з виборами кіберзагрозам та дезінформаційним кампаніям в Україні», що реалізовувався за кошти ЄС. Серед спікерів конференції – досвідчені медіаексперти та фахівці з кібербезпеки з України та Естонії. На заході обговорюватимуть вивчені уроки та майбутні виклики для розбудови спроможності українських безпекових структур, що за відповідальні за попередження та протидію кіберзагрозам, а також  - про те, як посилити навики журналістів регіональних ЗМІ Півдня та Сходу України щодо протидії впливу гібридної війни.

“Disinformation and Cyber Security during Elections in Ukraine: Lessons Learned and Future Steps”

On October 31, the Estonian Center of Eastern Partnership in cooperation with CybExer Technologies and Ukraine Crisis Media Center is holding a conference that concludes the EU-funded project "Countering Election-related Cyber Threats and Disinformation Campaigns in Ukraine". Speakers of the conference include experienced media and cyber experts from Ukraine and Estonia who will discuss the lessons learned and future challenges of building the capacity of Ukraine’s security structures responsible for the prevention and management of cyber threats and strengthening the skills of local media representatives in Southern and Eastern regions of Ukraine to mitigate the impact of hybrid warfare.

Background information: The main aim of the EU-funded project "Countering Election-related Cyber Threats and Disinformation Campaigns in Ukraine", implemented by the Estonian Center of Eastern Partnership and CybExer Technologies, was to improve the resilience of the Ukrainian electoral system to cyber threats and disinformation campaigns. The Project focused on including officials responsible for ensuring the conduct and/or cyber security of elections in Ukraine as well as local journalists in the Eastern and Southern regions of Ukraine in order to mitigate the impact of hybrid warfare on the presidential and parliamentary elections in Ukraine.

The Estonian Center of Eastern Partnership (ECEAP), founded in 2011, is a non-profit foundation dedicated entirely to implementing the EU's Eastern Partnership initiative (EaP) to strengthen relations and cooperation between the EU, its Member States, and its Eastern neighbours: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine. ECEAP designs and implements training and advising programs in the Eastern partner countries based on best practices from Estonia’s own experience with reforms.
