One of the stops was Poltava Polytechnic, where the renovated Building F was officially opened. Its energy-efficiency upgrade was financed through a grant from the Eastern Europe Energy Efficiency and Environment Partnership Fund - E5P under the EIB’s Ukraine Higher Education project.
In total, more than €68.5 million from the EIB, the bank of the European Union, has been committed to supporting Poltava Oblast. This includes investments in education, healthcare and municipal infrastructure.
Through three EIB recovery programmes, 36 projects across the region are being supported – from hospitals and schools to water and district heating systems and sports infrastructure.
From modernising universities and hospitals to restoring critical municipal infrastructure, European Union support is helping Ukraine address urgent needs today while laying the foundations for long-term recovery.
