A Conversation on Europe’s Futures: Within and Without the EU
This event brings together representatives of EU institutions, the academic community, and European civil society to discuss the role of the European Union in Europe’s many possible futures. At a time of heightened security threats and renewed calls for solidarity and unity across the continent, the EU has a particular role to play. Yet the question of further enlargement remains politically sensitive. What do the EU’s Eastern and Southern neighbours need and want from the EU — and can the EU deliver?
This event aims to foster a constructive and open-minded dialogue among people who bring distinctive perspectives on what Europe is today and what it might become.
